    This Update highlights the Government sustained efforts to tackle corruption particularly through the range and depth of action that has been taken both at home and abroad. Commitment and effectiveness is demonstrated by the UK’s strong performance in the recent independent review of our systems for combatting money laundering and terrorist financing undertaken by the Financial Action Taskforce. The Serious and Organised Crime Strategy was launched backed by funding of at least £48 million in 2019 to 2020 to further ramp up law enforcement capabilities in tackling illicit finance. Partnership with business and civil society will be central to success.
