Masterclass

Virtual Investigative Interviewing

Thursday 7 April 2022

9.15 – 11.15am

Online Masterclass via Microsoft Teams

Virtual Investigative Interviewing

Midlands Fraud Forum are delighted to have Jim Sullivan at Bond Solon present our next masterclass.

The pandemic has led investigators to rethink how they interview suspects and witnesses. Social distancing and travelling requirements under lockdown have limited many investigations, with investigators and regulators frequently being unable to interview witnesses during this pandemic. But on the verge of return should we be dismissing virtual interviews?

The cost, complications in arranging an interview, and time of travelling to take a statement can be prohibitive, however, is conducting a virtual interview as simple as arranging a call?

During this session, delegates will consider best practices in how they conduct virtual interviews, ensuring awareness of major pitfalls in the way they gather evidence, as well as seeing virtual interviews in practice.

The session will be run by Jim Sullivan – Bond Solon for which delegates should log on to Teams approximately 10 minutes before at 0905hrs. There will be a main virtual classroom where all delegates will log onto at the outset. During the presentation, there will be role-play scenarios, where we will request input from the attendees.
